Kevin Hambly grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah.  At the age of 18, he joined the Navy, where he worked as an aviation ordinance specialist, having the special privilege of touring the Western Pacific.  After four years of service, Kevin began his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, where he majored in Philosophy.  Kevin developed an appreciation for epistemology (a branch of philosophy concerning the theory of knowledge) and logic.  His hard work in the philosophy department led to his graduation with a Distinction in General Scholarship in May of 2013.

Immediately following his undergraduate studies, Kevin attended law school at the University of San Diego School of Law.  While there, Kevin honed his interest in the philosophy of law and earned honors in Jurisprudence and The Philosophical Foundation of Constitutional Law.  He also worked at the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office during his first year of law school and began working as a law clerk at Shinnick & Ryan LLP in May, 2015.  After Kevin earned his Juris Doctor in May, 2016, he became a member of the California State Bar in December, 2016, and he commenced his work as an associate attorney at Shinnick & Ryan LLP.
